About Us
Spanish Weddings and Parties is the creation of Amanda Cormick and Jane Rosback. As two ex-pats living and working in Spain, Amanda and Jane decided they wanted to start a business that utilized there extensive organizational and event management skills and that provided a service that bought pleasure to others.
Spanish Weddings and Parties is a small business that promotes a professional and exclusive service for their clients, aiming to please clients by organizing their “perfect day”. “We provide a specialized service that is personal and individualized for each couple that matches their dreams, needs and budget”, says Amanda. “Our business is making sure that your special day is the most memorable day of your life” says Jane.
Amanda and Jane are Australians that have been living in Spain since 2000 and 2001 respectively, both were traveling independently when they met their future husbands on the Costa del Sol.
Both Amanda and Jane have been happily married since 2003, but marrying men from half way across the world bought with it vast experience in organizing International weddings as well as an acute understanding of how important every little detail is and how essential that it is done correctly. Amanda essentially had two weddings as she celebrated her marriage in Australia and had a blessing in Spain. Jane was married in Antigua and had blessings and celebrations in Spain, London, Ireland and Australia.
Amanda
Amanda has worked daily in an administrative role for a large established real estate agent for the last four years, bi-lingually dealing with town halls, lawyers and other government bodies. Her command of Spanish and patience in dealing with the machinations of Spanish bureaucracy are exceptional.
Adored and embraced as part of the local community, Amanda is actively involved in an organizational capacity with local community projects and clubs. She is married to a Spaniard and they have a daughter.
In Australia Amanda has studied a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and was Manager of an administrative company in the medical profession with a staff of over a hundred people.
Jane
Jane works in a marketing and administrative role for a property development company. Married to a foreigner who has lived in Spain for 25 years means their lives are integrated with both the ex-pat and Spanish communities. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Law and also has been a staff writer for 3 years for SolTalk magazine.
Jane has twenty years of experience working in the entertainment and event business in Australia and Asia, specializing as a producer of special events, concerts and a variety of television programs. Her organizational skills as well as creative and technical knowledge is extensive and invaluable to delivering spectacular and memorable events. |
